The 16th NADA Auto Show 2024 Successfully Conducted in Kathmandu

The 16th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2024, sponsored by Tata.EV, successfully wrapped up at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu. The event was a major highlight in Nepal’s automotive industry. This event attracted a massive crowd, drawing in 82,470 visitors and magnifying its reputation as one of the most popular auto exhibitions in recent years.

Grand Inauguration and Highlights of NADA AutoShow 2024

The NADA Auto Show 2024 was inaugurated by the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr Bishnu Prasad Paudel. This year’s event consists of stalls, where the latest vehicle models were showcased.

One of the main attractions of this show was the strong presence of new electric vehicle (EV) brands. Both visitors and exhibitors agreed that this year’s edition was more impressive and comprehensive than previous years. Despite the current challenges facing the automobile industry, the success of the event is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economy.

Stall Competitions and Awards

The NADA Auto Show 2024 featured a competition to recognize the best stalls across different categories. CG Motors Pvt. Ltd. was awarded with the best four-wheeler stall, while Braiddya Energy Pvt. Ltd. (Ather) was the award for the best two-wheeler stall. MAW Pvt. Ltd. (Sokon) was awarded for the best stall in the light commercial vehicle category, and Satyadeep International Pvt. Ltd. (Veedol) got the award for the best component stall.

The event’s management and organization were overseen by a four-member committee, which included Joint Treasurer Pankaj Agrawal, representatives from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers (JAM) and the Indian Motorcycles Association of Nepal (IMAN), and members from Global Exposition and Management Services Pvt. Ltd.

Sponsorship and Special Features

The NADA Auto Show 2024 was supported by various co-sponsors, including Shikhar Insurance and Khalti, the ticketing partner, while WorldLink provided internet services. One of the standout features of the event was the Hero Zoom scooter giveaway, which was awarded to a lucky visitor through a raffle draw. The winner is invited to contact the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal’s secretariat at Teku to claim their prize.

During the closing ceremony, NADA President Mr Karan Chaudhary, alongside former President Dr Dhruba Thapa and other senior officials, distributed mementoes to representatives of the 135 participating companies. The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office managed traffic during the event, Hitco Pvt. Ltd., a NADA member company, handled fire safety, and Everest Ad handled the event’s publicity.

Community Initiatives and Closing Remarks

In addition to showcasing automotive innovations, NADA organized a blood donation drive during the event. There were 63 successful donations as per Mr. Prakash Kapuri, NADA Central Executive Committee member. In his closing remarks, NADA President Mr. Karan Chaudhary expressed a heartfelt thank you speech to all the participating companies and organizations for their contributions to the success of the NADA Auto Show 2024. The event was managed by a dedicated five-member committee chaired by Mr. Chaudhary. Throughout the six-day show, various talk sessions were also held, including those organized by JAM and IMAN, adding further value to the event.

Overall, the NADA Auto Show 2024 has once again proven to be an important event in Nepal’s automotive sector.
