Today’s share trading has been suspended after a technical problem was observed in the trading system of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE).
According to NEPSE, a technical problem had occurred since the morning of Ashoj 4 in the data center ‘Data Hub Pvt. Ltd.’ where servers of 72 trading member companies (stock brokers) are hosted. Although continuous efforts are being made to resolve this problem, it has not been fully resolved yet.

In such a situation, conducting share trading could potentially cause further damage to NEPSE’s overall trading system. Considering the security of the system, the Stock Broker Association of Nepal had also submitted a formal request to suspend today’s regular trading session. Evaluating that request and the situation, it has been decided to suspend stock market trading for today.
