Agricultural Development Bank Donates Food Items Worth 1 Million for Flood Victims

September 15, Kathmandu.

Agricultural Development Bank Limited has provided food items worth 1 million rupees for the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the recent devastating flood.

With the objective of assisting in the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of affected citizens in this difficult time of disaster, the bank has provided essential food items worth 1 million rupees, sufficient for approximately 200 affected families. These items include rice, lentils, oil, salt, biscuits, beaten rice, dalmoth, noodles, mashed vegetables, chickpeas, puffed rice, and drinking water. Earlier, Agricultural Development Bank had also donated 30 million rupees to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.

The bank reached the government’s official relief collection center and handed over the food items. On behalf of the bank, Bina Sharma, Head of the Marketing and Sales Department, handed over the food items. Maheshwor Marahatta, Senior Branch Manager, Geeta Nepal Sharma, Senior Branch Officer, Maniraj Dhungana, Business Officer, and Babita Aryal, Office Assistant, among others, were present at the program.

The bank stated that assisting in the relief and rescue of affected families is its social responsibility, especially given the significant loss of life and property and the impact on thousands of citizens due to floods in various parts of the country.

Meanwhile, to assist in the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of affected citizens in this tragic time of disaster, the bank has also appealed to interested organizations and individuals within the country and abroad to provide as much assistance as possible. The bank announced that it has made public bank account details and a QR code to support the Government of Nepal’s ‘Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund’.

The bank stated that cooperation and assistance are necessary among government bodies, organizations, and the general public for the relief, rescue, and rehabilitation of affected citizens during times of disaster, and pledged to continuously support such humanitarian efforts as part of its social responsibility.
