Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Series Launched in Nepal: Price, AI Features, and Pre-order Offers
August 16, Kathmandu.
Unveiling new possibilities for Nepal, Samsung Nepal launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Galaxy Z Fold8) series with Galaxy AI and an even smarter ecosystem.
The eighth-generation foldable smartphones integrate financing, trade-in, connectivity, and omnichannel programs based on affordability, accessibility, and sustainability, along with an even larger AI workspace.
Samsung Nepal today launched the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8 along with the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2. With this, it has introduced a new generation Galaxy AI experience and an even smarter ownership journey for Nepali consumers.
Samsung’s foldable platform, now in its eighth generation, reflects years of learning and improvements in design, durability, portability, and software.
The large displays of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 8 provide an even larger workspace for AI to perform various tasks, making it easier for users to review, compare, create, and take necessary actions without frequently switching apps.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 offers a fast AI interaction and creative expression experience in a compact form factor, while the new Galaxy Watch lineup expands the connected health and wellness experience.
Through this launch, Samsung Nepal also signals a widespread change in how consumers experience premium technology. Instead of focusing solely on launch prices, Samsung is building a connected ownership ecosystem centered on affordability, accessibility, and sustainability.
Affordability — Making the Premium Experience Easier and More Accessible
HFL offers an EMI facility for 24 months with a 40% down payment. Additionally, for eligible high-tier customers, the goal is to extend the EMI period up to 36 months and reduce the down payment to 20%.
Along with this, a trade-in bonus will help reduce the initial financial burden, while connectivity features and the planned remittance-linked cash back will provide additional value throughout the ownership journey.
Therefore, easy ownership is not just a discount—it’s an integrated combination of various features and benefits that make owning a Galaxy even easier and more manageable, while maintaining its premium value and experience.
Accessibility — A Single Connected Journey from Digital to Retail
Through omnichannel collaboration with IMS and Him Electronics, Samsung aims to connect digital eligibility checks, feature selection, pre-orders, delivery, and product pickup from a Samsung Brand Store into a single seamless experience.
Customers will be able to easily complete the process from digital KYC or remittance verification to purchase and product receipt, with consistent information and approved features across all channels.

Sustainability — Preserving Value Even After the First Owner
Eligible trade-in devices can be systematically tested, evaluated, and processed in collaboration with Apkudo and local partners. If in suitable condition, old devices can be refurbished and reused.
This helps customers receive fair value for their old devices, while also extending device lifespan, developing a reliable reuse market, and contributing to the reduction of e-waste.
One Partner Ecosystem — Diverse Capabilities, Single Customer Experience
Samsung aims to integrate HFL, eSewa, Ncell, Apkudo, its remittance partner, IMS, and Him Electronics into a single ecosystem, making financing, connectivity, trade-in, rewards, and omnichannel execution function as one system rather than separate promotions.
Each partner helps remove different obstacles in the ownership journey, while Samsung’s role is to connect all these capabilities to build a reliable Galaxy ownership experience.
This ownership ecosystem is based on Samsung’s extensive commitment to Nepal. In collaboration with Him Electronics, Samsung has been supporting local television production, and the Samsung Innovation Campus helps Nepali youth develop future-ready skills in coding, programming, and AI under its global CSR vision “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People.”
Samsung’s goal is to advance Nepal not just as a market for product sales, but also as a place that contributes to building capabilities, skills, and opportunities.
“While traditional smartphones give AI a window, foldables give AI a workspace.”
“Through the new Galaxy Z series, our objective is not just to introduce premium technology in Nepal, but to make the entire ownership journey smarter. Affordability is not merely a discount; it is an integrated combination of various features and benefits.
Accessibility means that customers can complete the process more smoothly, from checking their eligibility to purchasing and receiving the product. Sustainability means maintaining the product’s value and utility even after the first customer.
In collaboration with our partners, we want to create more options, long-term value, and new possibilities for customers in Nepal through Galaxy’s innovative technology.” — Mr. Chang Uk Jung, Managing Director, Samsung Nepal
