BYD’s Upgraded Series Unveiled at Naima Expo, Emphasizing Safety and Convenience

BYD has showcased its upgraded Atto series at the ‘Naima Mobility Expo 2026’, which commenced today at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu. Atto 1, Atto 2, and Atto 3 are on display.
On the occasion of the expo, Rojhan Maharjan, manager of BYD Bhaktapur branch, informed that new and upgraded features have been added to all three models. According to him, a 360-degree camera has been added to Atto 1, a new ‘Essential’ variant has been introduced for Atto 2, and a facelift version has been brought for Atto 3.
‘We have launched our new upgraded vehicles. Atto 1 comes with a 360-degree camera added. A new Essential variant has been launched for Atto 2, and a new facelift version has arrived for Atto 3,’ he said.
According to Maharjan, all three vehicles are based on BYD’s Blade Battery Technology and E-Platform 3.0. He stated that various safety and convenience-focused features are available in all three models.
The new upgrade for Atto 1 includes a 360-degree camera, along with a wireless charger and automatic folding rearview mirrors. These features were not available in the previous variant.
‘Previously, the Atto 1 did not come with a 360-degree camera. Now, a 360-degree camera is available. Features like a wireless charger and automatic folding for the rearview mirrors have also been added,’ he stated.
Maharjan informed that a new Essential variant with lower battery capacity has been added to Atto 2. For Atto 3, a model with a new facelift design has been put on display.
Here are the prices of BYD Atto
According to BYD, the price for Atto 1 Dynamic is set at 3,075,000 rupees, and the price for Premium is 3,480,000 rupees. Additionally, the price for Atto 1 Premium is set at 3,480,000 rupees.
Similarly, the Atto 2 Essential is priced at 4,595,000 rupees, and the Premium at 4,899,000 rupees.
Likewise, the Atto 3 Advance is priced at 6,290,000 rupees, while the Atto 3 Superior variant costs 7,800,000 rupees, as stated by Cimex Inc.

Claim of suitability for Nepali roads
Maharjan claimed that Atto 1 is particularly suitable for Nepali roads. He stated that due to its small size, short wheelbase, and 175mm ground clearance, it will be comfortable even on normal gravel and some off-road tracks.
Maharjan mentioned that customer interest in electric vehicles is growing in Nepal. He stated that customers prefer them because the operating cost of electric vehicles is lower compared to those with internal combustion engines (ICE).
Special Offers at the Expo
BYD has announced various facilities for customers on the occasion of the expo. According to the company, customers will receive one year of road tax, auto-plus insurance, free accessories, and one year of BYD app service.
BYD’s stall at the expo is located in Hall No. 5, immediately upon entering from the main entrance. The company has stated that customers can view vehicles at the expo site and also book online.
Over 20 Showrooms and 13 Service Centers Nationwide
BYD has announced that it has over 20 showrooms and more than 13 service centers operating across Nepal. Maharjan stated that four more service centers are currently under construction.
He said that the company has also arranged roadside assistance to provide services to customers outside the valley.
The Naima Mobility Expo 2026, running until August 16, features more than 55 vehicles displayed across 51 stalls.
At the expo, various automobile companies and dealers are showcasing new technologies and the latest models of electric and other vehicles.
