5 Cabinet Decisions: From Public Release of Ncell Investigation Report to Declaration of Four Martyrs

August 11, Kathmandu.

The meeting of the Government of Nepal’s Cabinet held today made five important decisions.

The meeting held on Tuesday decided to fully exempt clean infrastructure investment fees and Value Added Tax (VAT) on ambulances and hearse vehicles that are imported or produced within Nepal and operate on electricity.

Similarly, the Cabinet decided to declare as martyrs Om Prakash Mehta, Jay Prakash Mehta, and Rabindra Kumar Mehta from Sunsari, and Ganesh Kumar Yadav from Siraha, who died during protests in Sunsari and Siraha.

The Cabinet also decided to give consent to the Portuguese government to open a consular office in Kathmandu.

Similarly, it was decided to appoint Nirmal Kumar Upreti from Bara as the Executive Director of the Foreign Employment Board.

The Cabinet meeting also decided to make public the study and investigation report on Ncell’s share purchase and sale, 2080 (Nepali year), which was formed under the coordination of former Auditor General Tankamani Sharma Dangal.
