Cooperation Agreement between CAN Federation and TJF on Technology Journalism and Digital Transformation

A cooperation agreement has been signed between the Computer Association Nepal (CAN) Federation and the Technology Journalists Forum (TJF) in the fields of information technology, digital transformation, technology journalism, and innovation.

On Sunday, at an event held at the CAN Federation office, the Federation’s Acting President Chiranjibi Adhikari and TJF President Purna Duwal signed the agreement.

According to the agreement, both organizations will cooperate on raising public awareness about information technology in Nepal, capacity building for technology journalists, digital transformation, innovation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), digital economy, new technologies, and technology entrepreneurship.

CAN Federation has committed to conducting knowledge exchange, training, workshops, and industry interaction programs related to technology for TJF member journalists.
Such programs will cover topics including information technology, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, digital economy, new technologies, startups, and innovation.

Similarly, it has been agreed to facilitate as much as possible for forum member journalists to participate in national and international information technology exhibitions, conferences, technology companies, innovation centers, startups, and study tours.

According to the agreement, TJF, in cooperation with CAN Federation, its members, technology experts, and relevant stakeholders, will prepare materials related to activities, policy development, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and new technologies in Nepal’s information technology sector and widely disseminate them through its member media outlets.

Both organizations have also agreed to conduct at least one joint study and research per year on topics related to Nepal’s information technology sector. Furthermore, it is stated in the agreement that seminars, conferences, discussions, and public awareness programs can be jointly organized on topics such as technology development, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
