NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 Draws Huge Crowds Despite Heavy Rain: Over 77,000 Attendees in 3 Days

Despite heavy rainfall, an enthusiastic presence and crowd of visitors has been observed at the ongoing ‘NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026’ at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
By the third day of this expo, organized by the Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), a significant crowd of automobile enthusiasts has gathered.
The second edition of this NAIMA Mobility Expo, organized with the objective of promoting a sustainable, green, and technology-friendly transportation system, will run for 6 days (until August 16).
Over 77 Thousand Visitors in Three Days
The number of visitors exceeded 77,000 in the first three days of the auto fair:
First Day (Tuesday): Over 29 thousand
Second Day (Wednesday): Over 26 thousand
Third Day (Thursday): Over 22 thousand
The organizers expect a total of 150,000 (one hundred fifty thousand) visitors to attend the expo throughout its duration.
Over 55 Brands and 52 New Model Vehicles are Major Attractions
This year’s NAIMA Expo features a large participation from domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers.
Brands and Models: Over 55 brands of vehicles are showcased at the fair, and 52 new model vehicles have been launched so far.
Dominance of Electric Vehicles (EVs): Brands introduced in Nepal for the first time, along with new models of electric cars (EV Cars), e-scooters, and electric commercial vehicles, have become the main attractions of the fair.
Options for Every Budget: Four-wheeler vehicles ranging from NPR 1.6-1.7 million to over NPR 30 million are on display. Additionally, expensive and premium two-wheeler brands have particularly attracted the youth.

Visitor Interest: Customers have shown particular interest in technical aspects such as Battery Capacity, motor, range, After Sales Service, battery warranty/guarantee, and Resell Value.
