Nepal Telecom services restored in 7 more flood-affected areas; mobile network returns to Rasuwa Border and Nuwakot

Nepal Telecom has restored mobile services by repairing BTS (Base Transceiver Station) towers in 7 additional flood-affected locations in Rasuwa and Nuwakot.

Nepal Telecom has resumed telephone and mobile services in 7 more flood-affected areas starting today (Bhadra 14, 2083 BS). With this, most of the mobile BTS (Base Transceiver Station) sites in the flood-affected areas have become fully operational.

According to Nepal Telecom, the new sites where services have resumed from today are as follows:

Rasuwa District: Rasuwa Border, Upper Syangjen, Chapthok, Jipjipe, and Gatlang BTS sites

Nuwakot District: Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS sites

Which areas have received communication services?

Rasuwa Border BTS: Services have started in Nepal-China border point, Timure, Rasuwa Border Corridor, and from Syaphru Besi to Bhote Koshi Corridor.

Upper Syangjen BTS: Areas including Chilime, Lamagaon, and Ward No. 5 of Amachhodingmo Rural Municipality.

Chapthok BTS: Betrawati, Kauli, Trishuli 3B, Uttargaya Rural Municipality, and Kispang.

Jipjipe BTS: Ward No. 2 and 5 of Kalika Rural Municipality, Dharapani, and Deuralidanda.

Gatlang BTS: Gatlang, Goljung, Chilime, Thulo Bharkhu, Sherpa Gaon, Thulo Syaphru, Syaphru Besi, Khangjum, and Barim.

Charghare and Charghare Mulabari BTS: Ward No. 12 and 13 of Bidur Municipality.

In this disaster situation, Nepal Telecom’s technicians are working day and night, keeping in mind the communication needs of the general public. The company has stated its commitment to ensuring continuous and quality service even during times of disaster.
