Arun Valley Hydropower Development Company Limited has proposed to distribute 5 percent bonus shares and 0.263 percent cash dividend for tax purposes to its shareholders.
The company’s Board of Directors meeting held on Bhadra 28 (September 14) proposed to distribute the said dividend from the profits and reserves of the fiscal year 2082/83. According to the company, 5 percent of the current paid-up capital of NRs. 4,044,03,150, amounting to NRs. 20,20,20,157.50, will be distributed as bonus shares.
Similarly, a cash dividend of 0.263 percent of the paid-up capital, amounting to NRs. 1,06,32,320.89, has been proposed for distribution for tax purposes on bonus shares.

Accordingly, the company will distribute a total dividend worth NRs. 21,26,52,478.39 to its shareholders. The proposed dividend will only be distributed after approval from the company’s 29th Annual General Meeting. The company has called the AGM for Ashoj 27 (October 14).
For the purpose of the AGM and dividend distribution, the company has decided to book close for one day on Ashoj 13 (September 30). Accordingly, shareholders who have traded and are registered in NEPSE till Ashoj 12 (September 29) will be eligible to receive the dividend and participate in the AGM.
