Nabil Bank Proposes 15.80 Percent Dividend

September 7, Kathmandu.

Nabil Bank Limited has proposed to distribute a total of 15.80% dividend to its shareholders from the distributable profit of the fiscal year 2082/83.

The bank’s Board of Directors, at its 712th meeting held on Sunday, proposed to distribute a total dividend of 15.80% for ordinary shares, comprising 5% bonus shares and 10.80% cash dividend.

The total amount for the proposed bonus shares is NRs 1,352,849,836.46 and for the cash dividend is NRs 2,922,155,646.76. This amount includes the tax applicable on bonus shares and cash dividend.

Similarly, the meeting has proposed to distribute a cash dividend of NRs 233,424,657.53 for the bank’s 8% irredeemable non-cumulative preference shares, at the rate of 8% of the paid-up capital (pro-rata for 213 days from the date of distribution in fiscal year 2082/83) (including tax).

The bank’s paid-up capital for preference shares is NRs 5 billion, while the paid-up capital for ordinary shares is NRs 27,056,996,729.26.

This dividend has been proposed with the aim of providing appropriate returns to shareholders, based on the satisfactory financial results achieved and sustainable business growth by the bank in the fiscal year 2082/83.

The distribution of this dividend will only be implemented after approval from Nepal Rastra Bank and passage by the bank’s upcoming Annual General Meeting. The bank has expressed heartfelt gratitude to all shareholders, customers, regulatory bodies, and employees who have continuously shown trust and support towards Nabil Bank.
