The fifth edition of ‘Digital Nepal Conclave‘, known as a major conference in the Information and Communication Technology sector, is being organized this Thursday, Bhadra 11, at The Plaza in Lalitpur.
The main theme of the Conclave, organized by ICT Foundation Nepal, is ‘Reimagining Governance, Data and the Digital Economy’.
The Conclave, a major conference in the technology sector, has been organized for the past 5 years with the main agenda of digital transformation and digital ecosystem development for Digital Nepal.
Based on the Digital Nepal Framework unveiled by the government in 2019, digital dialogues and conclaves on policy debate and digital transformation agendas began in 2020.
In the 2026 edition of the Conclave, the new government’s recent priority to good governance, and data-based governance and economy for that purpose, has been made a broader topic of discussion.
This year’s Conclave will feature more than 3 key-note presentations, 5 thematic panel discussions, and one power dialogue session. Along with presentations from some thematic experts, there will also be presentations of more than 10 innovations (Digital Spark) being developed for Digital Nepal.
High-level representatives from the Government of Nepal, members of the House of Representatives, and ministers will participate in this conference, which will also see the participation of some international experts. More than 500 people are expected to attend the event in person.
Rajan Lamsal, President of the Foundation, informed that the main objective of the program is to bring together the private sector, government, and international bodies in the government’s ambitious plan to build Digital Nepal, fostering an environment for discussion and emphasizing policy reform and implementation.

Discussions at this year’s Conclave will mainly focus on three strategic topics. The first session, under Governance and Digital Public Infrastructure, will discuss institutional digital reforms, citizen-centric smart services, integrated digital IDs, policy innovation, and data-driven decision-making processes.
The second session, under Data, AI, and Cybersecurity, will address national data sovereignty, ethical use of AI, cybersecurity, digital trust, and data interoperability between various sectors.
The third session, under Digital Economy and Innovation, will debate digital transformation, investment opportunities for it, and the digital workforce required for the future. Similarly, the final session will focus on political commitment for digital leadership and transformation.
The Digital Nepal Conclave 2026 is expected to bring together government, policymakers, technology industry, startups, investors, academia, development partners, and young innovators on a single platform to strengthen policy dialogue, knowledge exchange, investment opportunities, and strategic collaborations for Nepal’s digital future.
