IME Life Insurance Celebrates 9th Anniversary, Signs “Nyano Nani” Baby Warmer Distribution Agreement with National Innovation Center

IME Life Insurance Company Limited joyously celebrated its 9th anniversary on Bhadra 1, completing nine years since its establishment.

The company, which has been moving forward since its inception by embracing the values of customer-friendly service, reliability, and social responsibility, has celebrated its anniversary this year by organizing various programs reflecting its commitment to society, instead of limiting it to a mere ordinary celebration.

On the occasion of completing nine years, the company organized a blood donation program at its central office and is conducting various programs including blood donation, tree plantation, food distribution, and insurance awareness programs through its branch offices across the country.

On the occasion of the 9th-anniversary program, Mr. Khilendra Poudel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the company, stated that the objective of these social responsibility programs is to provide direct support to various segments and sectors of society, as well as to raise public awareness about the importance of life insurance.

He also stated that the company believes the blood donation program helps reduce blood shortages in hospitals and the tree plantation program contributes to environmental protection, while the food distribution program was launched with the objective of providing direct relief to economically disadvantaged families.

In the context of this anniversary, IME Life Insurance has signed a collaboration agreement (MOU) with the National Innovation Center (NIC). Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pawan Khadka, Chief Executive Officer of the company, stated that this agreement lays the foundation for a long-term partnership between the two organizations and further institutionalizes the company’s commitment to providing technology-friendly solutions in the field of newborn health.

According to the agreement, the Nyano Nani (baby warmer) device, researched and produced domestically by the National Innovation Center, will be distributed to various health institutions with the financial support of IME Life.

“Nyano Nani” is a medical device used to provide the necessary temperature to premature or low-birth-weight newborns to save their lives, and it has proven extremely useful, especially in remote areas and regions far from health facilities.

In the first phase of this collaboration, IME Life, with the support of the National Innovation Center, is handing over ten units of Nyano Nani devices to health institutions in Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces.

The company has initiated this endeavor with the intention of addressing the long-standing lack of healthcare services experienced by newborns born in remote areas of these two provinces due to geographical remoteness, limited health infrastructure, and low accessibility.

According to the company, these devices will be installed in relevant local health institutions and suitable locations, which is expected to help reduce the mortality rate of newborns and improve maternal and child health services in those areas.

Mr. Pawan Khadka, Chief Executive Officer of the company, stated that the company is operating this program under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, and that the company has previously contributed to various social, health, and educational sectors, with plans to gradually expand the Nyano Nani program to other provinces and districts of the country in the coming days.
