Major Change to Instagram’s Branding After 10 Years, What Does the New Logo Look Like?
August 15, Kathmandu.
Social media platform Instagram has changed its wordmark logo after 10 years. Instagram, owned by Meta, has revised the letter design in the new logo, making it more modern and clear.
Instagram head Adam Mosseri unveiled the new wordmark via Instagram and Threads. According to him, the new design maintains the identity of the previous logo while making the letters cleaner, more modern, and attractive.
The new wordmark continues Instagram’s familiar script style. However, there have been some changes to the size and structure of the letters. Particularly, the new design of the letter ‘च’ has caught users’ attention.

Mosseri stated that the wordmark seen in the Instagram app had not been changed for about 10 years and has now been revised to keep up with the times. He added that the new design also encompasses Instagram’s old identity and simplicity.
Instagram last made a major change to its overall brand design in 2016. At that time, the company replaced the old brown camera logo with a rainbow-colored stripe with the current colorful pink gradient camera icon.
After the new wordmark was released, mixed reactions have come from users. Some have welcomed the new design as modern and attractive, while others have reacted by saying the change is disappointing. However, there hasn’t been a major change to Instagram’s main icon this time. The new change is primarily focused on the wordmark used in the app and branding. ANI
