Electric scooters and motorcycles have garnered the attention of visitors at the ongoing Naima Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. Following the launch of two new models by the ‘Chetak’ brand at the expo, visitors have shown keen interest at its stall.
According to Chetak’s Sales Officer Anisha Maharjan, the company has added two new models to the expo this time. She stated that along with the model previously unveiled at the NADA EV Expo, Chetak has introduced new models C 2501 and C 3503.
Maharjan stated that the main features of Chetak scooters are their metal body and build quality.
She said, ‘The main feature is the brand itself. This is also a very old brand with a metal body. Many people are familiar with Chetak. The old moped-style scooter has been converted into an EV version.’
According to her, the new scooters offer various color options along with features like app connectivity, geo-fencing, navigation, and anti-theft. She also mentioned that the scooters have Sport, Eco, and Reverse modes.
Chetak’s Sales Manager Bishnu Pandit stated that visitor participation at the expo has been encouraging. According to him, over fifteen hundred visitors have already visited Chetak’s stall in three days.
According to him, two new Chetak models, C 2501 and C 3503, have been unveiled at the expo. He mentioned that the C 2501 is specifically targeted for daily city rides in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to him, the IDC claimed range of that model is 113 kilometers. He informed that the scooter has a 2.5 kWh battery and a 2200-watt motor, along with features like hill assist, Eco, Sport, and Reverse modes.
Furthermore, the company claims that its IP67 rating helps keep the scooter safe from water and dust.
Chetak has presented its nationwide network as its main strength to facilitate after-sales service for customers. According to Pandit, the company has over one hundred service networks where customers can avail after-sales service and warranty-related services.

The company has stated that the prices of the new models displayed at the expo are currently set as introductory and launching prices. The number of visitors coming to the expo to learn about new electric vehicles, technology, charging infrastructure, and financial facilities is increasing.
City-focused Electric Scooter
Chetak’s new electric scooter C 2501 targets urban commuting, prioritizing modern technology alongside a metal body and practical design.
The Chetak C 2501 features a 2.5 kWh traction battery. According to the company, it provides a range of up to 117 kilometers as per IDC standards. The scooter has a top speed of 60 kilometers per hour, and its motor has a peak power of 2.2 kW.
For charging, it comes with a 750-watt off-board charger. The company stated that it takes 2 hours and 25 minutes to charge the battery up to 80% with this charger.
Among the key features of the C2501 is its metal body. The scooter has IP67 water resistance, which helps protect the scooter’s electrical system from water and dust. It also features a digital LCD display, mechanical key, and a reverse mode.
The scooter is provided with 25 liters of boot space for luggage. Additionally, there is a 4.6-liter open glove box in the front, making it convenient to store small items for daily use.
Regarding braking, the C 2501 features a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. This is expected to provide the necessary braking control for daily commuting on urban roads.
The company offers a standard warranty of 3 years or 30,000 kilometers on the C 2501. The scooter is available in various colors, including six options: Ocean Teal Matte, Misty Yellow, Classic White, Moonlight Silver, Racing Red, and Active Black.
The company has presented the C 2501 as a practical, convenient, and tech-friendly electric scooter especially for customers who commute daily in the city. Its metal body, 117 km IDC range, IP67 rating, 25 liters of boot space, and various smart features are its main attractions.
