NADA Auto Show at Bhrikutimandap: ‘Made in Nepal/Made for Nepal’ Pavilion is Visitor’s Choice

13 Bhadra, Kathmandu.

On Sunday, the ‘Made in Nepal/Made for Nepal’ pavilion at the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026, currently underway with families at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, has become the visitors’ favorite.

Most visitors to the auto show, who come to see cars, motorcycles, and new technology, usually focus on new models from large international brands. However, NADA, for the first time, has given special priority to vehicles and automobile materials produced and assembled in Nepal through a separate ‘Made in Nepal/Made for Nepal’ pavilion.

In this pavilion, one can directly get information about electric motorcycles and scooters produced by Nepali industries, cars assembled in Nepal, automotive batteries, lubricants, helmets, tires, and various components. According to NADA, there are eight stalls in this pavilion.

From Vehicles Made in Nepal to Batteries

The most attractive aspect of this year’s pavilion is the attempt to showcase the potential for production and assembly in Nepal. From Yatri’s electric scooters and Meta EV assembled in Nepal to Hyundai vehicles and Asian Batteries’ products, they are all demonstrating the possibility of developing an automobile industry within the country.

The situation where all materials required for vehicle production are made in Nepal has not yet been achieved. However, the presence of Nepali industries is expanding in areas such as batteries, lubricants, helmets, and various components. Therefore, this pavilion is not just an exhibition of products but also an opportunity to understand where Nepal’s automobile industry stands and where it can reach.

At the auto show, one can not only see large and expensive vehicles but also understand what is being produced in one’s own country. According to the organizers, parents attending with their children can also view this pavilion as an opportunity to directly show their children about Nepali industries, technology, electric vehicles, and job creation.

According to Anup Baral, coordinator of NADA, the auto show organizer, this time more than 200 stalls have been set up in an area of three lakh square feet. A total of 53 vehicle brands are participating, including 23 passenger vehicles, 17 light commercial vehicles, and 13 two-wheelers.

In addition, banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, auto parts, tires, lubricants, garage equipment, and other automobile-related products are also on display.

The NADA Auto Show is running from Bhadra 9 to 14 at Bhrikutimandap.

Surendra Kumar Upreti, President of NADA, says, ‘If you are visiting the auto show with your family, don’t miss seeing not only the gleaming vehicles of foreign brands but also the story of vehicles and automobile materials starting to be made in Nepal.’

‘Looking at ‘Made in Nepal’ at this year’s NADA Auto Show is not just about seeing one stall, but also about seeing the potential of Nepal’s automobile industry,’ said Upreti.
