Lord Buddha Education Foundation, Nepal’s first IT college, has launched ‘MBA in AI’ and ‘Digital Leadership’ courses. The foundation has introduced these new courses in view of the rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and information technology, and market demand.
Engineer Pankaj Jalan, Chairman of the Foundation, informed that the ‘MBA in AI’ and ‘Digital Leadership’ programs have been launched with affiliation from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, approval from the Ministry of Education, and equivalence from Tribhuvan University. For the ‘MBA in AI’ and ‘Digital Leadership’ programs, the Foundation has partnered with DLA Consulting.
At the launch event of the new courses, Engineer Jalan, Chairman of the Foundation, stated that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not just a technology of the future but has become essential for banking, business, management, data analysis, report generation, and even daily office tasks.
He said, ‘Work that people used to spend hours on a few years ago, AI is now starting to do in a few minutes. With this change, in Nepal too, AI is not being developed merely as a ‘tool-operating technology’, but rather courses are being developed by connecting it with education, business, and management.
According to Chairman Jalan, the objective of this program is not just to provide students with the technical knowledge to create AI software or tools, but also to teach them how to use available AI tools in real life and business.
At the new course launch program, Prakash Kejriwal, Executive Director of the Foundation, presented a paper on the development of information technology and the current and future prospects of AI.

Lord Buddha has also prepared to establish a physical AI server lab. The Foundation has stated that preparations are underway to bring AI servers into Nepal from abroad. For Lord Buddha, the AI lab is expected to be not just a server or new equipment placed in a room, but a key foundation for translating AI education into practice.
The Foundation has stated that by building a physical lab, students will be given the opportunity for direct practice at low cost. With the ability to perform AI-related experiments, testing, and learning on their own servers, students will have the opportunity to understand the technology directly, rather than being limited to books or videos.
Along with this, students will also get access to 11 international online labs, research papers, journals, and books.
At the program, Suman Neupane, Founder Chairman of DLA Consulting, stated that Artificial Intelligence is not just a part of information technology but has become an integral part of every organization’s strategic decision-making process.
Neupane said, ‘By bringing an international-level AI curriculum to Kathmandu, we are not just adding another academic degree, but rather laying a new foundation for building Nepal’s future business leadership. Nepal’s information technology has become the most important part of economic development,’ Neupane stated.
