The Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) has decided to contribute NPR 5 million to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund to assist in the relief and rehabilitation of citizens affected by the severe flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa.
Additionally, expressing deep sorrow over the human and material losses caused by the flood, NAIMA has extended heartfelt condolences to those who lost their lives, sincere sympathy to the bereaved families, and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
NAIMA has also praised the support provided by its member organizations during this time of disaster. Since the onset of the disaster, NAIMA’s member companies have been contributing to rescue and relief efforts through various means, including financial, transportation, and logistical support.
NAIMA has been supporting the government and affected communities during disasters and emergencies since its establishment, according to President Ritu Singh Baidya.

“In such difficult times, assisting the government and affected citizens is also a shared responsibility of the private sector. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our member companies who have shown readiness to cooperate and assist in this disaster.
Collaboration between the government, private sector, and community can make relief and rehabilitation effective,” he said.
Expressing high respect for the government and security agencies, health workers, rescue workers, volunteers, local communities, and organizations engaged in search, rescue, and relief operations, NAIMA has urged all stakeholders in the automobile and mobility sector to join hands in supporting the affected citizens according to their capacity and available resources.
