Nepal Telecom has restored service in seven more flood-affected areas today. With this, 93 out of 120 affected sites have become operational.
Nepal Telecom has restored service through the tower located near Rasuwa’s Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project. This has facilitated necessary communication for the ongoing rescue work in the tunnel route of that hydropower project. For this, necessary materials were transported using vehicles and through porters.
Service has also been restored through the tower located at Kalikasthan in Rasuwa’s Uttargaya Rural Municipality.
Similarly, Tupche and Bungtang BTS of Nuwakot district have also become operational from today. Necessary generators and fuel for operating those towers were transported by helicopter. Apart from these, towers in Katunje, Samari Bhanjyang, and Betini have also been restored.

Meanwhile, to keep the morale of the technicians deployed in the field high and to make the service restoration work more effective, the company’s Managing Director, Sangeeta Pahari (Aryal), has also visited the affected areas including Nuwakot.
Earlier, she participated in the meeting of Nepal Telecom’s Disaster Management Room at Babarmahal, took various information about the service restoration work, and also gave necessary instructions.
In this context, Managing Director Pahari presented the details of Nepal Telecom’s ongoing service restoration work in the presence of the Honorable Minister of Finance and Minister of Information and Communication, as well as the Chairman of Nepal Telecommunications Authority and representatives of security agencies, among others.
The company believes that in this state of disaster, it will help all relevant service users maintain communication with their relatives.
