Nepal Telecom has launched 2G and 4G mobile services in the Badimalika area of Bajura, a major religious site in Sudurpashchim Province. With this, local residents and pilgrims of Triveni Patan and the trekking route have gained easier communication access.
Nepal Telecom has launched 2G and 4G mobile services in the Badimalika area, a renowned religious and tourist site in Bajura district that also serves as a major center of faith for Sudurpashchim Province, located at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters above sea level.
Following Telecom’s expansion of 4G service in the Badimalika area, mobile and internet services have become operational starting today.
To operate services in this extremely remote and geographically challenging area, equipment and installation materials were transported by Nepali Army helicopter, along with a technical team, and installation work was rapidly advanced.
The technical team worked under challenging circumstances to establish the tower in the extremely remote and high-altitude Himalayan terrain.

After continuous hard work, 2G and 4G mobile services have officially come into operation in the area starting today, August 24.
With the installation of mobile service, Wards No. 5 and 6 of Triveni Municipality, Wards No. 5 and 6 of Badimalika Municipality, and areas including the famous Triveni Patan, which lies on the trekking route from Bajura district headquarters Martadi to Badimalika, have now been connected to telecommunication services.
Technicians involved in the tower construction work included Nepal Telecom’s Engineer Sudarshan Acharya, Technical Officer Madhav Budhathoki, and Civil Engineer Dipak Bhatt.
With the expansion of communication access in the high Himalayan region, Telecom believes that local residents, as well as devotees, pilgrims, and trekkers visiting Badimalika, will benefit directly from eased communication.
