Prime Minister Balendra Shah conducted an on-site inspection of Bidur and its surrounding areas in Nuwakot, which were severely affected by the floods.
Prime Minister Shah, who departed for Nuwakot today at 9:30 AM via road, accompanied by Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Sunil Lamsal, has returned to Kathmandu after observing the physical condition and damage of the affected settlements.
The flood that originated from Bhote Koshi in Rasuwa yesterday caused extensive damage to riverine areas, and Prime Minister Shah has been continuously active in making rescue and relief operations effective. Immediately after the flood, he called high-level meetings and gave necessary instructions to the subordinate bodies, then directly gathered information about the flood-affected areas of Bidur and its surroundings.

During the visit, the Prime Minister’s team conducted an on-site inspection of the physical damage caused by the floods and also held detailed discussions with local administration, security agencies, and people’s representatives.
During this, Prime Minister Shah directed the local administration and concerned bodies to immediately provide relief to displaced families, swiftly bring obstructed roads and infrastructures back into operation, and accelerate long-term rehabilitation work.
After the on-site inspection and necessary directives, the Prime Minister’s team returned to Kathmandu today.
