India sends second flight with 37.5 tons of relief materials for Nepal

August 27, Kathmandu.

India has sent a second flight to Nepal carrying 37.5 tons of humanitarian aid, disaster relief and rescue materials, including medicines and food grains, for Nepali citizens affected by floods and landslides.

India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar informed through social media that the second relief flight, carrying 37.5 tons of materials, had departed for Nepal.

Jaishankar stated that India will continue to provide strong support to the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in Nepal. India began sending flights with relief materials to Nepal after significant loss of life and property due to severe floods and landslides in the Bhotekoshi region.

The materials sent by India are said to include essential items for disaster rescue and relief, medicines, and food packets, among other supplies.
