Rotaract Club of Rudramati has launched ‘Project Ujjwal Bhavishya’ by providing educational materials to students at Shree Hugdishir Primary School, located in Ward 2 of Bareng Rural Municipality, Baglung. On Saturday, necessary educational and school supplies were distributed to the school students at the organized program.
The program was attended by Krishna Paudel, Chairman of Bareng Rural Municipality, Chairman of Ward No. 2, employees from various branches of the rural municipality, representatives from the Area Police Office, the School Management Committee, teachers, parents, and the local community. The program was organized by school teacher Indrabahadur Barma, with the Chairman of Ward No. 2 as the chief guest and representatives from Bareng Rural Municipality participating as special guests. Rtr. Sujan Acharya delivered the welcome speech at the program.
Through the program, students were distributed materials including school uniforms, school shoes, school bags, stationery, learning materials, and sports equipment. Essential items such as notebooks, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, and diaries were provided to the students. Teacher bags and dustbins were also made available for the school. Sanitation-related materials were also provided to help make the school environment clean and organized.
Speaking at the program, Rtr. Raju Sharma, President of Rotaract Club of Rudramati for Rotary Year 2025/26, stated that the objective of the ‘Ujjwal Bhavishya’ project is to provide necessary support for students’ educational journey. He emphasized that education is not limited to textbooks and classrooms but also involves providing students with the necessary environment, materials, and encouragement.
Sharma recalled that his student life also began at this very school, stating that it was a special and emotional moment for him to return to the school where he studied and support the students. He mentioned that his personal connection to the school made this project even more special and that the project was initiated as an effort to give back the education and opportunities he received to the community.

He informed that the Rotaract Club of Rudramati is a non-profit organization focused on youth leadership and social service, stating that the club has been conducting various service-oriented programs in areas such as education, health, environmental protection, climate change, child and community support. “More than the materials we provide, the bigger thing is to make students feel that they are also important and that society is with them for their future,” Sharma said at the program.
Sharma extended special thanks to Rotary International District 3292, Rotary Club of Rudramati, the club’s Past Presidents, members, supporting individuals and organizations, the local community, the school family, and his own family for their cooperation in making the project successful. He also expressed gratitude to Bareng Rural Municipality, Ward No. 2, and the concerned employees for their support and coordination in conducting the program.
The Rotaract Club of Rudramati has announced that it will continue such programs in the future with the aim of enhancing the role of youth in education and community development. The ‘Ujjwal Bhavishya’ project is expected to provide essential educational materials to students, as well as help boost their self-confidence, encourage regular school attendance, and increase their interest in education.
Participants in the program stated that this type of assistance, provided with the needs of students studying in rural areas in mind, would have a positive impact on students, schools, and the community.
