In a major step toward empowering the next generation of innovators, the Tech Bloggers Association of Nepal (TBAN), headquartered in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, has officially launched a nationwide STEM initiative in partnership with Dursikshya Education Network.
The strategic collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on August 2, 2026 (BS 2083) by TBAN National President Santosh Dhungana and Dursikshya Executive Director Mahesh Aryal. The initiative bridges tech journalism and practical youth innovation, positioning TBAN as the official Registration Partner for the upcoming National School Innovation League (NSIL).
Bridging Tech Media and Youth Hardware Innovation
As Nepal’s leading organization of technology writers, digital creators, and media advocates, TBAN is leveraging its extensive reach to transform how school-level technology education is accessed across the country. Expanding beyond digital commentary, TBAN’s mission actively connects theoretical classroom learning with hands-on hardware development.
“This collaboration enables us to actively bridge the gap between media outreach and practical technology education, giving students from all seven provinces direct access to competitive robotics and IoT tools,” stated the association during the launch.
Strategic Objectives of the Strategic Partnership
TBAN’s operational roadmap focuses on driving inclusive, secure, and impactful youth participation through four main pillars:
- Nationwide Student Mobilization: Utilizing TBAN’s digital network to inform schools, parents, and students—particularly in provincial and rural regions—about competitive STEM opportunities.
- Ethical Digital Enrollment: Operating transparent student registration workflows with a focus on data privacy standards designed for minors.
- Fostering Local Innovation: Promoting practical, hands-on learning in the Internet of Things (IoT), coding, and mechanics for students from Grades 3 through 10.
- Ecosystem Integration: Directly linking promising school-level innovators with tech community leaders, bloggers, and industry mentors.
National School Innovation League (NSIL) Structure
The initiative invites student teams of three (3) to compete across three distinct age tiers tailored to specific learning levels:

Note: In addition to receiving official competition kits, participation requires a standard enrollment fee of NPR 1,600 per student (inclusive of applicable VAT).
TBAN’s Operational Scope
Under the strategic MoU, TBAN assumes full responsibility for student outreach, data compliance, and provincial mobilization leading up to the grand finale:
- School & Community Outreach: Executing targeted informational campaigns across primary and secondary educational institutions using official NSIL guidelines.
- Registration Management: Facilitating official team enrollments via Dursikshya’s centralized portal.
- Data Protection Compliance: Safeguarding all minor participant data in accordance with Nepalese privacy laws.
- Provincial Mobilization: Ensuring equitable representation from schools outside the Kathmandu Valley in provincial qualifiers ahead of the Kathmandu National Finale.
How Schools and Mentors Can Participate
Schools, educators, and youth mentors interested in bringing the NSIL program to their students can participate through the following steps:
- Official Enrollment: Register school teams of three using TBAN’s official registration links.
- Kit Delivery & Training: Receive official NSIL hardware kits and curriculum frameworks provided through Dursikshya Education Network.
- Provincial Qualifiers: Compete in provincial rounds across Nepal’s seven provinces to secure a spot at the Kathmandu National Finale.
