Citizens Bank’s Business Expansion and Asset Quality Enhancement Program Concluded in Koshi Province

Citizens Bank International Limited organized the program “Accelerated Commercial Momentum: Business Expansion and Asset Quality Enhancement in Koshi Province” for its provincial head, branch managers, and other colleagues in Koshi Province.

The seminar was concluded in the presence of the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Ganeshraj Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Assistant Chief Executive Officer, and other senior executives.

During the program, there was an in-depth interaction discussing the work progress review of the last fiscal year, and the budget, strategic action plan, and priorities for the current fiscal year, while also strengthening cooperation between the central and provincial levels.

Citizens Bank operates 28 branch offices in 10 districts of Koshi Province. Earlier, the bank had completed the program “Leading from the Front: Strategic Growth Imperatives for Bagmati Province” on Shrawan 22, 2083 in Bagmati Province.

The program saw the participation of 56 branch managers, provincial heads, and other high-ranking bank officials from 11 districts of Bagmati Province. This seminar in Koshi Province is a continuation of that initiative. Similar programs will be organized sequentially in other provinces as well.

In the bank’s last fiscal year 2082/2083, loan disbursement increased by 1.24% to Rs. 177.33 billion, and deposit collection also saw a 9.22% increase to Rs. 233.81 billion. The bank’s net profit increased by 63.05% to Rs. 2.0986 billion.

The bank, which successfully received the prestigious ‘Bank of the Year 2024 and 2025’ awards globally, had previously launched “Citizens PhonePay Credit Card,” Nepal’s first virtual credit card, in collaboration with PhonePay. Recently, the bank has launched a savings account targeting young people, “Citizens Gen-Z Saving Account,” and an integrated online platform called “Citizens Digi Bank Seva.”

It has launched a new savings account called “Freelancer Saving Account” specifically targeting freelancers, and for the first time in Nepal, has introduced facilities like applying for shares and obtaining a C.R.N. number through its mobile banking app, as well as a cross-bank teller facility where customers of other banks can receive cash by scanning a teller QR at a Citizens Bank branch.

Citizens Bank International Limited has been providing modern banking services to 2.062 million customers through its 200 branches spread across 61 districts nationwide, 169 ATMs, 3 extended counters, and 42 branchless banking units.
