Citizens Bank Concludes Strategic Growth and Budget Review Seminar in Sudurpaschim

Citizens Bank International Limited has concluded a seminar on strategic growth and budget review in Sudurpaschim Province with the participation of the province head, branch managers, and other employees.
The bank stated that a seminar titled ‘Seminar on Untapped Potential, Unified Action: Budget Achievement and Strategic Growth Review – Sudurpaschim Province (083/84)’ was concluded in the presence of the bank’s Chief Executive Officer Ganeshraj Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and other senior executives.
During the program, the progress of the last fiscal year was reviewed, and discussions were held on the budget, strategic action plan, and priorities for the current fiscal year. The bank also stated that there was an interaction during the program on making coordination and cooperation between the center and the province more effective.
Citizens Bank operates 10 branches in seven districts of Sudurpaschim Province. Previously, the bank had also organized province-wise strategic growth and business expansion seminars in Bagmati, Koshi, and Madhesh Provinces. The bank stated that the seminar in Sudurpaschim was organized as a continuation of that program, and similar programs will be conducted in other provinces sequentially.

According to the bank, loan disbursement increased by 1.24 percent to Rs 177.33 billion in the fiscal year 2082/83. During the same period, deposit collection increased by 9.22 percent to Rs 233.81 billion. The bank also reported that its net profit increased by 63.05 percent to Rs 2.0986 billion.
The bank stated that it has recently expanded its digital and targeted customer services. The bank, which launched the ‘Citizens PhonePay Credit Card’ virtual credit card in collaboration with PhonePay, has also launched an integrated online platform called ‘Citizens Gen-Z Saving Account’ and ‘Citizens Digi Bank Service’ targeting young people. Additionally, the bank stated that it has made available a ‘Freelancer Saving Account’ targeting freelancers, a facility to apply for shares and obtain CRN numbers through its mobile banking app, and cross-bank teller services.
Citizens Bank stated that it has been providing banking services to more than 2.064 million customers through 200 branches, 167 ATMs, three extended counters, and 42 branchless banking units in 61 districts across the country. The bank also received the ‘Bank of the Year 2024’ and ‘Bank of the Year 2025’ awards.
