Today, Haritalika Teej, the great festival of Hindu women, is being celebrated with wishes for eternal good fortune.
On this festival, celebrated on the third day of Bhadra Shukla, married and unmarried women observe a fast and traditionally worship Lord Shiva and Parvati.

According to scriptural belief, unmarried young people traditionally observe the Teej fast to find a virtuous spouse. On the Haritalika Teej festival, celebrated on the third day of Bhadra Shukla, Lord Mahadev, the god of gods, is worshipped.
There is a religious belief that by observing a fast and worshipping Shiva and Parvati on Bhadra Shukla Tritiya, one attains family happiness, peace, and well-being.
