September 11, Kathmandu.
Kathmandu, Nepal. Global mobility and delivery platform inDrive has contributed Rs. 7 crore 50 lakh (approximately USD 500,000) to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, with the aim of supporting the Nepal government’s ongoing efforts for the relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of families and communities affected by the recent Bhote Koshi flood.
The donation was handed over to Honorable Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle on September 9, 2026, in the presence of inDrive Nepal representatives.
The Bhote Koshi flood, which occurred on August 26 due to a glacial and rock slide near the Nepal-China border, has caused significant human and material damage in various places in Nuwakot and Dhading, including Rasuwa, in the lower riparian areas.
Along with the loss of lives and property due to the disaster, widespread damage has also occurred to houses, schools, bridges, hydropower projects, and other important public infrastructure. Following the flood, search, rescue, and relief operations are ongoing in the affected areas, and the search for missing persons is also continuing.
Along with the financial contribution to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, inDrive has also provided direct relief to flood-affected communities. Under this initiative, immediately necessary relief materials have been provided to flood-affected families in Ward No-9 of Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot.
