US-based clinical technology company develops technology to help collect, integrate, and reuse knowledge gained from clinical trials in the life sciences sector through a combination of artificial intelligence, mathematics, and evidence-based systems.
Nepali-origin entrepreneur Aruna Adhikari has established the US-based clinical technology company KairosHelix. The company aims to transform the process of how knowledge generated from clinical trials in the life sciences sector is collected, integrated, and utilized.
During clinical trials, a large amount of protocols, reports, operational data, and expert decisions are generated. However, crucial knowledge often remains fragmented across various systems, limiting researchers and institutions’ ability to effectively learn from past trials and apply that knowledge to future studies.
To address this challenge, KairosHelix is developing technology that transforms accumulated clinical trial knowledge into usable intelligent information through a combination of Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Evidence-Based Systems.
The company’s technological approach gives special priority to the preservation of original evidence and human oversight, especially in decisions related to regulated and high-risk clinical research.
The company has so far formed a 25-member team and developed a functional platform for clinical trial intelligence. Additionally, it has initiated commercial collaborations with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and biotechnology companies. KairosHelix has also filed 11 provisional patent applications in areas including clinical trial planning, research site recommendations, synthetic data, and regulated artificial intelligence.
The company’s vision is shaped by Adhikari’s multidisciplinary experience in mathematics, engineering, enterprise technology, and clinical research.

Adhikari, who moved from Nepal to the US at the age of 16, continuously pursued her interest in mathematics and technology, working in various fields that gradually introduced her to the complexities of clinical research.
In 2024, Adhikari was also honored in PharmaVOICE 100 for her work in technology and artificial intelligence. This further highlights her contributions to the interrelationship between technology and life sciences.
From her experience in clinical research, Adhikari identified a crucial fact that later became the core objective of KairosHelix. While clinical trials systematically record what happened, the underlying knowledge, rationale, and decision-making process behind why important decisions were made are not always recorded in a way that can be effectively reused in the future.
To address this gap, KairosHelix is developing a system that preserves, connects, and allows learning from the knowledge accumulated from various studies and clinical trials.
This aims to enable clinical research institutions to systematically apply knowledge gained from past studies to future research.
Inspired by Adhikari’s journey from Nepal to America, KairosHelix aims to contribute to the next generation of clinical research.
