With the support of SAIC MAXUS China and in coordination with Himalaya Organization, Maxus Nepal has provided relief assistance worth NPR 8 million for the disaster-affected Nepalese community.
This includes financial assistance to the Prime Minister’s Fund, essential supplies, and solar-powered clean drinking water plants installed in Nuwakot.
With the support of SAIC MAXUS China and in coordination with Himalaya Organization, MAXUS Nepal has provided assistance worth approximately NPR 8 million for the communities affected by recent disasters in Nepal.
This includes direct financial assistance along with the provision of sustainable clean drinking water and essential relief materials.
Under this, MAXUS Nepal handed over a check of NPR 5 million to the Honorable Finance Minister a few days ago for the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund, while directly benefiting disaster-affected communities across the Trishuli River with approximately NPR 3 million worth of aid, including the installation of ‘Ultra Filter Water Treatment Plants’ for clean drinking water in two holding centers, and the distribution of essential relief materials sufficient for nearly 400 people.

In the relief distribution and clean drinking water treatment plant installation work, employees including Dhurba Thapa, Chairman of Himalaya Organization, and Milan Thapa, Managing Director, as well as other district officials including Ramaraja Thapa, Chief Governor of Lions International District 325 J Nepal, were directly involved.
Among the distributed relief materials were essential sleeping materials including mattresses, pillows, and bedsheets; medicines and basic health supplies; essential food items and vegetables; cooking utensils and crockery; and clothes for men, women, and children, along with other basic necessities.
A solar-powered water purification system has been installed at Bhairam Secondary School in Trishuli, Nuwakot, where approximately 300 families are currently taking temporary shelter, while another system has been installed at Trishuli Primary School in Bidur Municipality, Nuwakot, where approximately 200 families are currently taking temporary shelter.
Each water purification system has the capacity to purify 1,000 liters of water per hour. This will help provide safe and clean drinking water to families in temporary shelters while they are there, and students will benefit once the schools reopen. MAXUS Nepal stated that this relief program was conducted under its CSR program.
