Prabhu Bank Provides Over NPR 21.1 Million Financial Aid to Rasuwa Flood Victims, Fund Transferred to Prime Minister’s Fund

Prabhu Bank Limited has provided financial assistance of twenty-one million eleven thousand one hundred eleven rupees (NPR 21,111,111) for the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of those affected by the devastating flood in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi River.

On the morning of Bhadra 10, 2083 BS, a sudden devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River flowing through Rasuwa district caused irreparable human and physical damage to residents along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli riverbanks.

In the context where the devastating disaster has caused immense loss of life and property to the nation, and with the objective of providing assistance to the victims and affected families and supporting search, rescue, and relief operations during this tragic hour of disaster, Prabhu Bank Limited, fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, handed over a check of NPR 21,111,111/- (Twenty-one million eleven thousand one hundred eleven rupees only) to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, for deposit into the Government of Nepal, Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The check was handed over by Prabhu Bank’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Suman Sharma, at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Finance on Bhadra 16, 2083 BS.

Kishore Jang Karki, Director Mr. Raju Paudel, and Director Dr. Ambika Sharma Lamichhane were also present at the program on behalf of the bank.

The Prabhu Bank family expresses heartfelt condolences to the domestic and foreign citizens who lost their lives due to the unimaginable disaster. Furthermore, the bank expresses deep sympathy to the affected community, wishing for the rescue and swift treatment of those missing and injured.
