The Siddhartha Hospitality family has announced its support to ensure the continuity of education for children affected by the disaster in Rasuwa’s Betrawati area. The Siddhartha family will take responsibility for providing necessary food for one year to the affected children residing in the hostel run by Shree Nilkantha Secondary School.
A team from the Siddhartha family, which arrived in Betrawati with relief materials and food, discussed relief and rehabilitation efforts with local representatives and various supporting organizations. During this time, the situation of the affected children of Shree Nilkantha Secondary School and their education were also discussed.
According to information received from the school, out of approximately 600 students studying there, about 200 students are still untraceable, and some children have been affected by losing their parents. This information was provided to the team.
In this situation, the school has put forward a plan to operate a hostel to keep the affected children in a safe environment and ensure the continuity of their education.

Krishna Neupane, CEO of Siddhartha Business Group of Hospitality, stated that after the disaster, immediate relief, along with the education, protection, and future of children, should be prioritized.
He added that providing support to the affected community from one’s own sector is also a social responsibility of businesses, and thus, the support provided for children’s education holds long-term significance.

Through Siddhartha Association for Care and Responsibility (SAKAR), the group has been conducting various social programs including health camps, blood donation, support for hospitals, hostels, and old age homes, education and skill development, environmental protection, and relief and rehabilitation during disasters.
As the needs of the disaster-affected community still persist, the Siddhartha family has stated that it will continue its relief and rehabilitation programs more systematically and effectively through SAKAR in the coming days.
