The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has stated that due to the influence of monsoon winds across the country, there is a possibility of rain in most places today. According to the Department, the monsoon low-pressure trough is located around its average position.
Currently, there is generally cloudy weather in all parts of Koshi and Lumbini Provinces, as well as in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces. The Department has stated that there is partial cloudiness in Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Light to moderate rain is currently occurring in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
According to the Department, there will be generally cloudy weather across the country this afternoon. In some places of the Himalayan region, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall. Moderate rain is forecasted in many places of the hilly regions.
There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places of the Terai regions of Koshi, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and in the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces.

Similarly, the Department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, and one or two places in the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.
Tonight, there will also be generally cloudy weather across the country. In some places of the Himalayan region, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder and lightning, as well as snowfall. In many places of the hilly regions, as well as the Terai areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible.
Moderate rain is also possible in some places of the Terai regions of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces. During the night, the Department has stated there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in some places of the Himalayan and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, the hilly regions of Karnali Province, and the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces, with very heavy rainfall in one or two places.
Due to heavy rainfall, the risk of debris flow, floods, landslides, and soil erosion may increase, therefore, the Department has requested residents in potentially risky areas to take necessary precautions.
Due to rain, daily life, as well as agriculture, health services, tourism, and mountaineering, may be affected, and road and air transport may also be impacted, therefore, the Department has urged to take necessary precautions.
