The Nepali film ‘Jhingedau 2’, which was released on Friday, has received positive feedback from the audience.
Audiences who went to Chhaya Center in Kathmandu to watch the film gave feedback that the film is entertaining, as well as family-oriented and based on social issues.
During a hall visit by the Nepal News Bank team, most viewers said they liked the film’s story, the actors’ performances, and the entertainment aspect. Some viewers even suggested that a third installment of the film, ‘Jhingedau 3’, should be released.
One viewer described ‘Jhingedau 2’ as ‘full of entertainment’ and added that it also depicts old Nepali society. She commented that she liked the performances of actors like Keki Adhikari and Aanchal Sharma.
One viewer said, “The story is also good. It’s primarily entertaining. And it’s also slightly emotional. I’ve watched ‘Jhingedau 1’. ‘2’ felt better than ‘1’. I also feel that ‘3’ should come out again. Please come with your family to watch it.”
Another viewer, who went to the hall to watch the second part after watching the first part of ‘Jhingedau’, said that both films were good. According to her, since the second part is a continuation of the first part’s story, both can be considered equally good.
Another viewer said she particularly liked the film’s story. According to her, the film addresses the current societal situation where elderly parents end up in old age homes. She said that films made on such topics should be watched by today’s generation.
Similarly, another viewer said she found the second part of ‘Jhingedau’ even better than the first. The relationship between sisters-in-law, humor, and emotional aspects were the film’s attractions, she commented. She stated that the film conveyed a message about the importance of mothers and expressed the opinion that ‘Jhingedau 3’ should come out.
Artists Excited
Keki Adhikari, the film’s actress, said that they were encouraged by the enthusiastic audience presence and positive feedback on the very first day.
She mentioned that recently, there’s been a growing trend in Nepali cinema where audiences only go to the hall after seeing the first day’s reactions. She expressed hope that the positive feedback for ‘Jhingedau 2’ would further increase audience numbers in the coming days.

Another actress, Aanchal Sharma, said that compared to the first part, the second part is even more distinct and mature in terms of entertainment, emotional aspects, and humor.
According to her, they appeared more mature in their roles as sisters-in-law in the second part than before. She stated that the feedback received upon returning to the audience through the second installment after an interval of about six years made them happy.
When asked about ‘Jhingedau 3’, Sharma said that if the audience gives overwhelming support to the second part, the director and producers might consider a third installment.
Mahesh and Kushal Also Happy with Audience Response
Actor Mahesh Tripathi stated that the audience’s reaction to the film was very good. He said that viewers enjoyed the family conflict, entertainment, and emotional aspects.
He said that he visited various halls on the very first day to get audience feedback and that the audience’s reactions made them enthusiastic. He expressed optimism that ‘Jhingedau 2’ would be successful.
Regarding the possibility of a third part, Tripathi stated that a decision could be made based on audience demand and their reactions to the film. He also urged viewers to go to their nearest cinema hall and watch the film.
Similarly, actor Kushal Bisht also stated that audiences gave enthusiastic responses to the film’s humorous and emotional scenes. He mentioned that during the intermission, viewers met the artists, took photos, and encouraged them by saying they liked the film.
According to him, audiences have said they would invite family members, friends, and neighbors to watch the film. Bisht said that viewers who had been waiting for the second part since the first part now also liked ‘Jhingedau 2’.
He stated that the film’s ending hinted at the possibility of a third part, and if the audience supports it, ‘Jhingedau 3’ could be released.
‘Jhingedau 2’ was released in various cinema halls across the country starting Friday. The production team, encouraged by the audience feedback received on the first day, expects audience attendance to further increase in the coming days.
