On the 10th of last Bhadra, a sudden flood in Rasuwa district damaged dozens of bridges and submerged thousands of houses. Many families who had been living in these hilly regions for years were deprived of basic necessities overnight, leading to uncomfortable and uncertain rehabilitation.
In such difficult circumstances, the Blue Streaks Motorcycle Group has transformed its passion for riding into a campaign of support and hope for the affected people of Rasuwa and Nuwakot.
To provide immediate assistance to flood-affected families, Blue Streaks riders collected donations from all their members. During this process, Rs. 93,000 was raised. The community maintained transparency throughout the donation collection process, publishing a list of donors along with contributions received via cash and online.
From the collected funds, Blue Streaks members prepared relief materials by packing essential items including rice, lentils, mineral water, and sanitary pads. Even amidst heavy rain, group members prepared the relief supplies and formed a motorcycle convoy, aided by a vehicle carrying additional supplies, to transport them to the affected areas.
Regarding this initiative, Deepak Kumar Agrawal, Executive Director and CEO of MAW Rides Pvt. Ltd., said, “Our riders don’t just ride together; they also work together to support society. Be it our CSR activities happening across Nepal or such difficult situations, our core motto has always been ‘Ride to Pride’. Blue Streaks will continue to stand with ordinary citizens in times of need.”

The relief materials were distributed at a temporary holding center established at Shree Sundari Keurini Secondary School in Nuwakot. There, Blue Streaks members directly met with flood-affected families, especially the elderly and children, and provided them with essential supplies.
During this difficult time, they provided encouragement and support to the affected families along with the relief materials.
As rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts continue in the flood-affected areas, this initiative by Blue Streaks has set an example of how shared interests and community responsibility can be transformed into meaningful assistance.
The assistance provided to affected families during this difficult time of crisis has further strengthened the importance of community collaboration and humanitarian spirit.
